Righteous Kill

Righteous Kill – This movie is about two detectives who are ready to give up their career and retire, but have a problem to solve before they can. They are looking for a serial killer who kills the criminals that escape the prison and leave unpunished, cleaning up after the police. The problem is that these two detectives have a suspect, who was involved in their case before.

The movie gets a little twisted and tries to make you think about what is going on until the very end and you need to pay attention to details to understand it. As far as I think, the movie is great because of the actors. The plot is ok, but Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are the ones who really make the movie, however, they played better roles before. 🙂 The movie is rated R, I think mostly for the language.

I really like the actors and this was the reason for me to watch the movie, however, I could probably wait for this one to come out on DVD. As for watching it again, I probably would if it will be on TV, but I don’t think it is worth to buy it for my collection or even rent it when it comes out. This is an average movie with good actors.

As for the trailer, it basically gives you the right idea of what the movie will be like. Watch it (below) and see if this is something that you would like:

Our recommendation: It is not a bad movie but wait for it on DVD unless you really like the actors.

The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight– I will start the first post with the best movie I saw lately. The new Batman is just super! This time Batman fights the organized crime in Gotham. The main enemy is the Joker who turns the city into chaos and tries to destroy Batman’s reputation. Some people find the movie a little dark, but I believe it is perfect for Batman. Even though it is dark, you can see all the details just perfect.

If you are following the Batman movies, you would notice that this one takes off right after the “Begins”.  This is a very long movie that lasts over two hours, however, the time goes by very fast and the movie is so interesting that by the end of the movie you wouldn’t even notice that all this time went by.

The special effects for this movie are super, the scene selection is great and, of course, the actors are outstanding (each one would need at least an oscar). Bale(Batman) fits his rope perfectly, and Ledger(Joker) is just outstanding! It is said that this was his last movie, but he for sure outperformed everybody. Just like this role was made for him.

Even though the movie is Rated PG13, I think it is a little too violent and “dark” for the kids, nevertheless, I am waiting for this movie to come out on DVD and watch it again. For sure, this one is an incredible piece to any movie collection.

Most of the times trailers show the best parts of the movies, but this one is an exception. The movie promises more then what you can expect after watching the trailer below. 🙂

Our recomendation: Watch it, especially if you liked previous Batman movies.
